Proverbs 16:3 says “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”
Before I write I pray for God’s wisdom and ask Him to help me write the words He would have me share. Then I picture the scene like it’s playing in a movie theater. Sometimes I close my eyes and type. I hear the words and my fingers move across the keyboard capturing the dialogue, descriptions, and emotions. I’m “in the zone.”
A few days ago, while working on my current manuscript, some words blasted through my mind and onto the document. I caught my breath in amazement. They were perfectly placed to plant a seed critical for the black moment. I stared in awe, absorbing the impact.
There’s no doubt in my mind, the words came from God. I’m not that clever. I can do all things through Christ, but not on my own. I give Him all the glory.
So I bowed my head and said “Thanks for the blessing.” His smile filled me with a warm glow.
